This is a summary of the type of cutting and assembling that will be required
to build these doghouses. If you feel that you are not personally qualified to
handle the tools required, then we suggest that you have someone else to do
it for you, or buy one that is already made.
This is the bottom and the bottom blocking it's not hard to make up,
but it does require the use of the skillsaw or table saw. Dimensions will
be furnished with the plans that is ordered.
This is the lay-out of the front, the back will be simular with no door
cut out. Of course the sizes will be furnished with the size of doghouse
ordered, as with the degree of angles. This also require's the use of
a skill saw and a Jigsaw to cut the radius in the door.
This diagram shows the blocking behind the front and back, these
dimensions and angles will be furnished with the size require'd.
Mounting the sides is very easy as shown, but of course you have to cut
them out with the skill or table saw.
The top is a little tricky, but can be done easier if you get someone
to hold it in place while you screw it down.
The shingles is the worst of all, I don't like to fool with them, but it
has to be done to protect the top. Most of this requires the cutting
and nailing or stapling of the shingles in place.
Next, is the material that you will need to make the doghouse.
The complete list of the plywood and the 2X4's that will be needed
will be with the plans that you order. That way you can call the lumber
yards in your vicinity and get the lowest prices available. The screws
are just a estimate, depending on the amount that you will need to
successfuly build this project.
All instructions, sizes, angles and material list
comes for just $10.95 + postage.
Thanks and good luck !!
